Elisabet Skalany is a visual artist from Mendoza, Argentina. Born to Ukrainian parents in 1956, Elisabet’s life has been in constant motion, moving from Argentina, to Ecuador, to Mexico, to the USA, and then to France. In many ways, her self taught style reflects her life: independent and unrestrained to one particular style. She learned initially through trial and error, by replicating paintings by the masters and also through exploring her own visions.  Then under the tutoring of Russian Master Painter Efim Frumin in Houston Texas, Elisabet learned oil painting using the techniques of the Great Masters. Elisabet continued her independent creativity amassing a huge body of work featuring European landscapes, impressions of cities, and abstract visions of color and energy. Her preferred medium is oil on canvas. Elisabet currently resides in Saint Cloud, a western suburb of Paris, France with her husband. She is a mother of 4.
